2025 Was the Year This Firm Was Born

2025 was the year Zachary W. Anderson Law came into existence.

I opened this firm believing there was room in Nebraska for a legal practice that was sharp, compassionate, and unapologetically human. A firm that met people where they were, told them the truth even when it was hard to hear, and stood beside them when the stakes were high and the ground felt unsteady.

I also believed that advocacy could look different. That it could be rooted in dignity. That it could honor lived experience. That being Nebraska’s Premier Queer Attorney was not a niche label, but a commitment to visibility, safety, and representation in spaces where those things still too often feel uncertain.

If I’m being honest, the first six weeks were frightening.

There were moments when I wondered whether I had dreamed too big. Whether building a values-driven firm, alone, in a state where the legal system can feel rigid and impersonal, was too much to carry. Whether there was truly space for a practice that centered clarity, compassion, and advocacy without compromise.

But the work answered those questions faster than fear ever could.

Clients trusted us with their families, their freedom, their futures, and some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. They came to us not just for legal answers, but for steadiness, honesty, and someone willing to sit in the uncertainty with them. We showed up prepared. We listened carefully. We followed through.

Word spread.

The cases grew more complex. The responsibility grew heavier. And with that came a clear realization: this could not remain a solo effort. If this firm was going to last, it needed to be built intentionally, sustainably, and with people who shared the same core values.

By the end of the year, what began as a true solo practice had grown into a premier law firm serving Lincoln and communities across Nebraska. Today, I am proud to work alongside four incredible team members who bring intelligence, empathy, and integrity to every case. Together, we are building systems that prioritize clear communication, respect for lived experience, and advocacy that does not stop at the courthouse door.

This firm exists because people believed in it.

It exists because clients trusted us when the outcome mattered deeply. Because colleagues referred cases knowing they would be handled with care. And because we believe, without hesitation, in the people we serve.

2025 was full. It was challenging. It was deeply affirming.

And if this is what the first year made possible, I look toward 2026 with grounded confidence and open eyes. We will continue to serve Nebraska with heart, with skill, with strength, and with compassion. We will continue to show up when it matters most.

Yours in advocacy,

Zachary W. Anderson, Esq.
